Acupuncture is a system of healing which has been practised in China and other Eastern countries for thousands of years. Although often described as a means of pain relief, it is in fact used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses. Its focus follows the Bliss ideology of improving the overall well being of the patient, rather than the isolated treatment of specific symptoms.

Bio :
Attilio D’Alberto graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine (Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Middlesex University). This full time, five year course is respected as the highest standing Chinese medicine degree in Europe. Attilio has a number of Chinese medicine articles published in several medical journals, healthcare magazines and websites, in four different languages. He is editor in chief of the ejournal Chinese Medicine Times.

 


Attilio treats a wide range of disorders using acupuncture, cupping, herbal medicine and other ancient techniques. He specialises in pain, infertility, male disorders and facial rejuvenation.

April comes from a long line of traditional holistic doctors. Her great grandfather was the famous Korean doctor Jongwa Kim, and this was her inspiration from a very early age. After graduation, she continued to develop her skills with a period of hospital-based work in China and South Korea. She went on to study with the renowned acupuncturist Dr Yu Lan Bai, a stroke specialist, in Beijing, studying a new form of acupuncture, Fu Zhen (abdominal acupuncture), which is administered on the abdomen and is highly effective in treating wide range of chronic conditions.
 
 April graduated from a full time, 5 year degree course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in UK. This course included spending 6 months internship in TCM hospitals in China, from where she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from Beijing University of TCM. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
