The word allergy is often confused with intolerance however they are different.
 

"Allergy" is defined as "the body's immune system producing an antibody reaction to a particular food or chemical". Such reactions are acute for example, rashes, swellings, breathing problems, streaming eyes and nose etc.
 

"Intolerance", on the other hand, is an ecological illness, caused wholly or partially by sensitivity to foods and chemicals, but without provoking an antibody response by the immune system.
 

The role of our clinical ecology therapist is to identify the foods and or chemicals to which an individual is sensitive, to ascertain; if possible, what mechanism triggers the abnormal reaction. Of the various methods used to achieve this objective we have chosen to use the famous Vega Method to carry out the following tests for painless, efficient, cost-effective, immediate and accurate results.

 

If you suffer from any of the following conditions : IBS, weight gain/loss, eczema, headaches, constipation, diarrhoea, acne, aching joints & muscles, depression, chronic fatigue or mood swings (to name but a few) your digestive system and immune system are already seriously compromised and are crying out for you to make a change. 
A person has a food allergy or intolerance when their body produces antibodies against a certain food (or environmental antigen such as pollen).  These antibodies can be produced immediately, up to 72 hrs after the food has been ingested making the offending food hard to pin down. 
 
The test is carried out using a Di etx Electro Dermal Screening Machine (similar to a VEGA test) and is painless.  The test includes 106 different substances, including foods, environmental allergens and Vitamin & Mineral deficiencies, and gives you immediate results.  You are given a full nutritional consultation and a personalised, holistic treatment programme designed to support you back to optimum health!

Sam became interested in Holistic Nutrition after having a food intolerance test herself and found numerous health benefits from adapting her diet, enjoying significant weight loss, relief from her allergic rhinitis and general fitness improvement. She trained in Allergy Intolerance Therapy and Holistic Nutritional Practice at the College of Holistic Health and Nutrition and is a member of the Association for Holistic Nutritional Practitioners.  She works with people of all ages suffering from all conditions from IBS to arthritis, but enjoys specialising in nutritional treatment for ante/postnatal mums & their babies and the treatment of Candida. 
 
Sam qualified in Swedish Body Massage over 10 years ago and gained her level II attunement in Reiki over 7 years ago.  She has also attended professional development courses in dowsing, healing with colour and crystals.  She finds using massage and reiki a powerful way to physically support her clients through their dietary transition and encourage effective detoxification and healing.
